Coke fuel is gray, hard, and porous, produced from coal which has been roasted in the absence of oxygen to drive off impurities consisting mostly of hydrocarbons and sulphur compounds. Coke fuel is almost pure carbon but will also contain trace amounts of ash, water and sulphur compounds. It is used as a fuel and as a reducing agent in smelting iron ore in a blast furnace.

China National Forest Products Industry Corporation manages coke fuel business through its subsidiary company, Beijing Hualin Fengyuan International Trade Co., Ltd, which is co-funded by Shanghai Yisheng Energy Development Co., Ltd. The mega magnitude of Chinese steel industry requires enormous fuel and energy supply to guarantee its production requirement, during the past decade, Chinese coke fuel production grows kept in pace with the steel industry, which leaps from 100 million tons per year to 387 million tons per year. The present Chinese coke fuel production accounted for over 60% of world total. Since the establishment of the company in 2012, our coke fuel sales volume enjoys a steady growth to a total of 500,000 tons for domestic sales and 200,000 tons for export, while the business operation revenue reached RMB Yuan 850 million. The business scope includes also tantalum minerals, iron ore, nickel, logs and timber products.
